It's hard to imagine where our lives would be today without technology, but we know that it has improved the comfort, efficiency, and outcomes of many of the procedures we offer. Dr. Zadeh is committed to lifelong learning and is always researching methods to help you have the best possible experience at our dental office.

Intraoral Cameras
It is much easier to become invested in your own oral health when you understand what your needs are. We use intraoral cameras during your dental exams because they allow you to visualize an issue instead of being told what it is.
This small handheld digital camera illuminates the inside of your mouth and delivers real-time images to your chairside monitor. You can follow along as Dr. Zadeh moves the camera, points out areas of concern, and explains why she recommends treatment.
We can save intraoral images to your patient record so they are accessible for future reference or to send to specialists and insurance companies as needed.
Medit Intraoral Scanner
An intraoral scanner captures the exact three dimensional shape of your teeth and gums by taking continuous video images of the mouth. This major technological advancement allows us to seamlessly communicate with dental laboratories when designing restorations such as crowns and bridges, or full mouth appliances such as night guards and clear aligners. Moreover, it eliminates the need to take the dreaded putty impressions.
Scanners have completely changed the way we practice dentistry with innovations such as Digital Smile Design making it possible to digitally show patients what their smile can look like before we start treatment. It is also an excellent tool to monitor changes in the mouth, such as tooth wear or erosion.
3-D Printer
3-D printing eliminates the need for models, trimming, milling, and thermoforming which is often used in the fabrication of night guards, clear aligners, and bleaching trays. This technological advancement continues to grow in the clinical capabilities it offers. Ask about our SprintRay 3-D printer at your next visit.
Digital X-Rays
Dental x-rays are one of the most important diagnostic tools in dentistry. Without them, dentists would not have a way to detect conditions like cavities and gum disease that are not evident with a visual examination. Routine dental x-rays then become part of your patient history and are invaluable when monitoring ongoing conditions.
Dr. Zadeh understands her patients’ concerns about the use of x-rays. Your safety is vital to us, and using digital x-rays exposes you to about 80 percent less radiation than older film x-rays.
By using digital x-rays, we also make the process of taking pictures easier. Instead of having you bite down on a bulky x-ray clip, we use flat, digital sensors to take and transmit your images. With rounded edges and nothing to poke into your cheeks, the sensors are comfortable and produce the crisp, detailed images we need.
We can also share the highly detailed images with you on your chairside monitor so you can follow along while Dr. Zadeh points out any areas of concern. Seeing a problem like a cavity on an x-ray helps you understand why we recommend treatment and how it will benefit you.
